Privacy at a Glance
- PPT Downloader has no user accounts and never asks for your name or email to download a presentation.
- The PDF and PPTX files you create are not stored — they are assembled in memory and sent directly to you.
- A link you submit, and the slide list found for it, sits in temporary server memory for about ten minutes before being cleared.
- Analytics, advertising and optional translation services from third parties may use cookies, which you can control.
Scope of This Policy
This policy covers pptdownloader.io, operated as PPT Downloader (“we”, “us”, “our”), including its language versions. It describes what information is processed when you browse the site or use the PPT Downloader tool (the “Service”).
What We Process and Why
Presentation links
When you paste a SlideShare link and press Fetch Slides, our server uses it to open the public presentation, read its title and slide count and locate the slide images. The link, title and slide image list are kept in temporary memory for roughly ten minutes so that a second download is faster. They are not saved to a database and are not tied to who you are.
Generated files
Slide images are requested from SlideShare, turned into a PDF or PPTX in memory and streamed to your browser. No copy of the finished file is retained.
Server logs
Our hosting environment automatically records standard request information such as IP address, browser and operating system, referring page, requested URL and time. We use these logs to keep the Service secure, diagnose faults and prevent abuse, and keep them only as long as those purposes require.
Language preference
If you choose a language from the flag menu, a small cookie remembers your choice for up to one year so the site opens in that language next time. It contains only the language code.
Emails you send
If you contact us by email, we receive your address and the content of your message and use them solely to answer you and handle your request, including copyright notices.
Cookies
Downloading a presentation doesn't require any cookie. Besides the language cookie above, third-party services on the site may use cookies, local storage or similar identifiers:
- Analytics cookies tell us, in aggregate, how visitors find and use the site.
- Advertising cookies let ad partners show, cap, measure and, where permitted, personalise ads.
- Translation cookies may be set by Google Translate when you view a non-English version of the site.
You can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time. PPT Downloader will keep working, though ads may be less relevant.
Third-Party Providers
- Google Analytics — aggregate traffic measurement. Opt out with Google's add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- Google AdSense — advertising. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. Manage personalisation at adssettings.google.com; learn more at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
- Additional ad networks — we may work with other advertising partners that use their own cookies. Opt out of interest-based ads from many companies at aboutads.info/choices or youronlinechoices.eu.
- Google Translate — translates page text on non-English versions of the site in your browser.
- Google Fonts — supplies the site's typeface; your browser downloads font files from Google.
- SlideShare — our server, not your device, requests public presentation pages and slide images to build your file.

How Information Is Used
- to run PPT Downloader and deliver the files you ask for;
- to protect the Service, prevent misuse and fix problems;
- to understand overall usage and improve the tool and guides;
- to display the advertising that keeps the Service free;

We don't sell personal information and we don't build profiles of the presentations people download.

Under the GDPR and UK GDPR, we rely on the need to provide the Service you request, on our legitimate interest in operating a secure and sustainable free website, and — for non-essential cookies and personalised ads — on your consent where the law requires it. You may withdraw consent at any time through cookie controls or your browser.
Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location, you may be entitled to access, correct or erase personal data about you, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability and to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. Residents of California may have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including to know, to delete and to opt out of the “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. Because PPT Downloader has no accounts, ad-related choices are best exercised through the opt-out tools above; for anything else, contact us below.
Security
The site uses HTTPS, and generated files exist only in memory while being delivered. No system is perfectly secure, so we deliberately keep the data we handle to a minimum.
Children
The Service is meant for a general audience and is not aimed at children under 13 (or the higher minimum age in your country). We don't knowingly collect children's personal information; if you think a child has sent us some, contact us and we'll delete it.
International Processing
Our servers and service providers may operate in countries other than yours, where data protection rules can differ. Using the Service means your information may be processed in those locations.

We may update this policy when the Service or the law changes; the effective date at the top shows the latest version.
