Using PPT Downloader

Find the deck and copy its address

Open the presentation on slideshare.net and copy the URL shown at the top of your browser. On mobile, tap Share → Copy in Safari or Chrome instead of using a shortened share link from an app.

Paste it into PPT Downloader

On the PPT Downloader homepage, paste the link and press Fetch Slides or Enter. A preview appears with the title, the cover slide and the slide count, plus a slide-by-slide progress list.

Pick a format

Choose the file type that fits your plans:

PDF One slide per page — ideal for reading, printing and note-taking
PPT / PPTX Widescreen slides for PowerPoint, Google Slides or Keynote — rearrange and present

Save and open your file

While the file is being built, the button shows a short status message. Leave the tab open — typical decks take seconds, very large ones up to a minute. The file is named after the presentation and appears in your normal downloads folder.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does PPT Downloader cost anything?

No. PPT Downloader is free, with no trial period, no subscription and no daily limit. Ads on the site pay for the servers.

Which SlideShare addresses work?

Single-presentation links on slideshare.net, www.slideshare.net, pt., de., es. and fr.slideshare.net. Profile pages, search pages, short links and m.slideshare.net addresses are rejected — replace “m.” with “www.” to fix mobile links.

Do I need to log in anywhere?

No. You don't need a SlideShare, Scribd, LinkedIn or PPT Downloader account, and we never ask for your email.

Is the PPTX file editable?

Partly. SlideShare only publishes slides as images, so every slide in your PPTX is a picture. You can reorder, delete, crop and annotate slides, add speaker notes and insert new slides — but the original words can't be retyped. Ask the author if you need the source file.

Where is the file on my phone?

iPhone/iPad: open the Files app → Downloads. Android: look in Files → Downloads or your browser's downloads list. Our mobile guide has more detail.

How long does it take?

Usually 5–15 seconds. Decks with more than a hundred slides may need up to a minute, depending on SlideShare's servers and your connection.

Can it download private presentations?

No. PPT Downloader only handles public decks. It won't open private, removed or login-only presentations and doesn't try to get around any restriction.

Do you store my files or links?

Files are never stored — they're built in memory and sent to you over HTTPS. The slide list for a link stays in temporary memory for about ten minutes so a second format downloads faster, then it's cleared.

Will there be a watermark?

Never. No watermarks, stamps or extra pages — just the author's slides.

Troubleshooting

“Please provide a valid SlideShare URL”

  • The address isn't a supported SlideShare link — copy it again directly from the presentation
  • Mobile link? Change m.slideshare.net to www.slideshare.net
  • Delete any stray words pasted with the link; it should start with https://

“Could not find slide images”

  • The presentation may be private, removed or restricted. Test it in an incognito window: if the slides don't show there, they can't be downloaded
  • Check you copied a single presentation, not a profile or search results page
  • If the deck is definitely public, retry after a minute and then send us the link

“Request timed out” or a connection error

  • SlideShare answered too slowly. Give it a few seconds, then press Fetch Slides again
  • Make sure your connection is stable; try switching Wi-Fi and mobile data
  • Temporarily pause VPNs, proxies or strict script blockers

The file didn't appear after downloading

  • Open your browser's download list: Ctrl+J (Windows) or Cmd+Option+L (Safari on Mac)
  • iPhone: Files → Downloads. Android: Files → Downloads
  • Browsers built into social or chat apps often block downloads — reopen the page in Chrome or Safari

Slides look soft or something is missing

  • PPT Downloader uses the largest images available; a low-resolution upload stays low resolution
  • Video, audio and animations aren't part of slide images, so files contain static slides only
