1. Accepting These Terms
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) apply to everyone who visits pptdownloader.io or uses the PPT Downloader tool offered there (together, the “Service”). The Service is operated under the name PPT Downloader (“we”, “us” or “our”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms; if you don't agree, please stop using it.
2. About the Service
PPT Downloader is a free online tool. When you submit the link to a publicly viewable presentation on slideshare.net, it retrieves the slide images of that presentation and combines them into a PDF or PowerPoint (PPTX) file that is sent to your browser. We do not host presentations, we do not keep the files we generate, and the Service provides no access to private, deleted or login-protected content.
3. Who May Use It
You may use the Service if you are legally able to accept these Terms where you live. If you use it for an employer or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for them.
4. Your Obligations
When using PPT Downloader, you agree that you will:
- submit links only to presentations that anyone can view without signing in;
- respect the copyright of creators and follow any licence that applies to a presentation;
- credit the author whenever you display, quote or refer to their slides;
- obtain the rights holder's permission before republishing, redistributing, selling or otherwise commercially exploiting downloaded material;
- comply with every law that applies to you, and with SlideShare's own terms where relevant.
5. Prohibited Conduct
You must not:
- use the Service to infringe copyright, trademarks or any other person's rights;
- try to reach private or restricted material or defeat any access control or technical protection;
- send automated, scripted or high-volume requests, scrape the Service or overload our systems;
- probe or test our security, or interfere with how the Service operates;
- resell, embed or repackage the Service as part of another product without our written consent.
We may limit, block or suspend access when we reasonably believe these Terms have been broken or that the Service or its users are at risk.
6. Ownership
Presentations. Content on SlideShare belongs to its creators. Using PPT Downloader gives neither you nor us any ownership of, or licence to, that content.
Our materials. The PPT Downloader name, logo, site design, text and guides belong to us. You may link to our pages, but you may not copy or reuse our materials without permission.
7. Copyright Concerns
If you believe the Service is being used to infringe your copyright, please follow the steps in our DMCA Policy.
8. Advertising and Other Services
The Service is supported by advertising. Ads, analytics and translation features are provided by third parties under their own terms and privacy policies, described in our Privacy Policy. PPT Downloader has no affiliation with SlideShare, Scribd, LinkedIn or Microsoft. Links to other websites are offered for convenience only.
9. Availability
We work to keep PPT Downloader online and reliable, but we cannot promise uninterrupted operation or that every presentation will download. SlideShare may change how its pages work without warning, which can affect the Service temporarily. We may change, pause or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.
10. No Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. YOU USE THE SERVICE AND ANY FILE IT PRODUCES AT YOUR OWN RISK.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, PPT DOWNLOADER AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, GOODWILL OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SERVICE. AS THE SERVICE IS FREE, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO ZERO, EXCEPT WHERE THE LAW DOES NOT ALLOW SUCH A LIMIT.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PPT Downloader and its operators against any claims, losses, liabilities and costs (including reasonable legal fees) resulting from your use of the Service, your use of downloaded material, or your breach of these Terms.
13. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or end your access at any time if you breach these Terms. Sections 6, 10, 11, 12 and 15 survive termination.
14. Updates to These Terms
We may revise these Terms occasionally and will update the effective date above when we do. Using the Service after a revision means you accept the updated Terms.
15. General Provisions
If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in force. Not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms form the entire agreement between you and us about the Service and are governed by the law applicable to the Service's operator, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.
